Payment for Farm Animal Care

Prior to elective procedures, a valid credit profile must be established with the Accounting Department of the Veterinary Hospital. Please provide the following  information to establish a valid credit profile:

  • Name of the owner
  • Owner's permanent address
  • Owner's phone number
  • Trainer
  • Farm name
  • Farm manager
  • Referring veterinarian
  • Correct spelling of the animals name
  • Animals breed
  • A valid Social Security number or federal tax identification number for the owner and/or person responsible for the bill

If possible, a credit card imprint should be obtained. If the owner is not present, the above information, including a credit card number can be obtained over the phone.

Established clients with proven credit worthiness and who have paid off their accounts with us in a timely manner, can be extended credit for any and all large animal visits.

New clients are required to pay in full for outpatient visits and are required to deposit one half of their estimated total bill (max $600*) if their animal is hospitalized. A minimum of one-half of the remaining balance is due before the release of the animal with the balance due within 90 days, 1/3 payable each month.

Clients with poor credit histories will not be extended credit. All previous debts with the Veterinary Hospital must be paid before any additional animal is seen. In addition, these clients are required to pay in full for all outpatient visits. If the animal is hospitalized, a  deposit of 50% of the estimated bill is required (max $600*), with the remaining balance due before release. No elective procedures will be done unless the deposit is received. Emergencies during regular hospital hours and after-hours emergencies will be dealt with at the attending veterinarian's discretion.
