Dr. Beth Kellogg ('80) is donating a restful opportunity in her cabin, set in the beautiful Hocking Hills of southeastern Ohio. The package includes a weekend stay at the cabin, plus dinner for two at The Inn at Cedar Falls. Value: $250.
The Wilds Safari Tour. Board a Safari transport for a guided tour through the Wilds open-range animal areas. Teratia Welch, the event coordinator at Fox Fire Golf Club, has donated two sets of four greens fees on the prestigious Players Club course. Value: $144.

Dr. Jim Blacka ('91) with Novartis Animal Health has donated an Ohio State tailgate package to get your party started. Included are megaphones, plastic ware, plates, cups, a frisbee, an OSU Marching Band CD, auto flag, Buckeye blanket, tailgate cookbook, napkins, OSU food storage bins and ice tub. Value: $150.
Dr. Gil Cloyd ('69) has donated two tickets to the Michigan game on November 22. These seats will be on the 40 yard line, 19 rows up from the field. A parking pass to the game will also be included. Value: priceless.
A Nativity scene handcrafted in the Tiffany style by Dr. Milt Wyman ('63). It contains 11 self-standing pieces including Mary and the Christ child, Joseph, the three wise men, a shepherd boy, sheep, cattle, a donkey, and two camels. These will become family heirlooms, and this may be your last chance to own this set as this will probably be the last time Dr. Wyman makes the scene for the auction! Value: $80 per piece.
Dr. Jim Donham ('52) has again handcrafted another beautiful piece of furniture. Dr. Donham has distinguished himself by making sale toppers in this auction for several years. This year he has out done himself by making an attractive five-drawer, solid cherry wine cabinet, each of which are able to hold six bottles of wine of various sizes. The cabinet has an art glass front door made by Milt Wyman ('63). The piece measures 27.25" wide, 40" high, and 17.25" deep. Included is a top drawer for napkins and other items useful for the host to serve wine. The finish was applied by Dr. Milt Wyman ('63). This piece is another possible family heirloom! Value: $1,000.
Mr. Craig Little, director of Alumni Societies for the Ohio State Alumni Association, is donating an Archie Griffin autographed football. Value: priceless.
Our esteemed director of Alumni Services, Dr. Michelle Harcha ('85), has donated a Chris Spielman autographed football. Value: priceless.
Dr. Ron Lyman has once again donated a wonderful wine pairing. This duo, titled "Time and Change", consists of a bottle of Cakebread Rutherford Reserve cabernet from 1984, and a bottle of Cakebread cabernet from 2005. The younger wine is smooth and bold, and it retails for about $80. The aged wine has been cellared since its release over two decades ago. Dr. Lyman was unable to find evidence of another bottle of this vintage available anywhere! His local wine retailer estimates its worth at approximately $500.
Steve Montemarano, of Intervet, has graciously contributed three Panacur Powerpacks, 10x1 doses of PreveNile equine vaccines, and 10x1 doses of Prestige V equine vaccines. Value: $500.
Dr. Don Reeser ('49) has distinguished himself as an expert carver of birds. We appreciate the many beautiful examples he has so generously provided in past years for the auction. This year he carved a perched Broad-Winged Hawk. Value: $700.
Dr. Wendy (Myer) Bynner (MS '74) has provided another one of her beautiful quilts for the auction. "My Favorite Earrings", this wall hanging was machine appliquéd, pieced, and quilted by Dr. Wendy (Myer) Bynner. The quilt is based on a pattern by Hissyfitz Designs and measures 39" x 42". Value: $200.
Dr. Norma Jean Harlan ('80) has created beautiful jewelry pieces for this year's auction. She has crafted a turquoise and carnelian necklace and earring set. Value: $125.
Dr. Jay Zachman ('78) has donated many veterinary related framed pictures and paintings that would look great in your home or office. The estimated valued for these photos ranges anywhere from $25-$100.
Dr. Dawn Bookmyer ('94) was given a donation from the Advanced Wellness Center. The Advanced Wellness Center has donated a patient package that includes an initial new patient visit, as well as three chiropractic adjustments. Value: $360.
Dr. Steven Stevenson ('66) has donated a box of spices/sauces from Crazy Uncle Jester's Inferno World. Included in this catalog item are an assortment of BBQ sauces, hot mustards and wild fire jellies. Value: $40.
Dr. Robert Richmond ('60) has donated another wonderful sketch for this year's auction. The work is titled "The Puppy, the Puddle, or the Plug." Value: $50.
Dr. and Mrs. Woodgeard ('58) have donated a beautiful piece of handcrafted furniture. This walnut occasional table is unique in its design, as the classic-crotched walnut pattern displays the workmanship of this particular craftsman. Value: $700.
Dr. and Mrs. Keith Wearly ('50) have donated a bracelet made of sterling silver, handcrafted in a Native American motif. The workmanship and design are a tribute to the style and culture of the southwest as well as to the artisan's work. Value: $100.
Dr. and Mrs. Jack Shanks ('64) have donated a 1904 "Fleming's Vest Pocket Veterinary Adviser." "Veterinary Science as it applies to the more prevalent aliments of horses and cattle, condensed, simplified and made practical for the Farmer and Stockman." Value: $45.
Dr. Paul K. Morris ('60) has personally crafted an oak mission side chair for the auction. Value: $150.
Dr. David Somerville ('70) and Dr. Matthew Somerville ('00) have donated four eight 1/2 inch high hand carved sculptures by John Hoesman. The sculptures are of former football coach Woody Hayes, former Michigan football coach Bo Schembechler, current football coach Jim Tressel, as well as current basketball coach Thad Matta (not pictured). Value: $70 per piece.
Dr. Richard and Bonnie Ramseyer ('62) have graciously donated a treasure chest filled with homemade jams and jellies. Honey and a jam jar are also included in the chest. There will be at least a dozen jars of these delicious jams and jellies. Value: $70.
The OVMA has donated a the hard-to-find Nintendo Wii gaming system. Meant for all ages, this unique system is known for its motion-controlled games. With a plethora of games available, including Wii Sports, Wii Fit and Super Mario Galaxy, this system is fun for the whole family and offers an unparallelled experience. Value: $250.
Mrs. Laura Shuler, wife of Dr. John Shuler ('85), has donated another amazing set of homemade Buckeye jewelry, including a necklace, bracelet and earrings. Show your Ohio State pride and bid on these items. Value: $100.
Dr. Martha Mooney ('78) has donated some wonderful items for this year's auction. The first item is a beautiful signed print called "Caring Hands," by Gary Hawk, valued at $150. A basket filled with coffee and maple products has also been donated which would be great for those Saturday morning tailgates. Dr. Moody has also donated the book "Game of My Life Ohio State: Memorable Stories of Buckeye Football," by authors Steve Greenburg and Laura Lanese. The book also has a signature of Vaughn Broadnax at the chapter of his story.
Drs. Adam and Joanna Parsons ('02/'03) have donated a great piece to add for Buckeye collectors everywhere. Added to this year's auction is a signed photo of Eddie George against the Iowa Hawkeyes when he runs over the referee, titled "Iowsa Game Run." The photo is framed and measures 16" x 20." Value: priceless.
Dr. Chip Taylor ('03) has kept the Buckeye Paraphernalia tradition going with his donation of a signed Eddie George jersey. Make sure that you add this piece of Buckeye lore to your collection. Value: priceless.
Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Gigliotti ('54) have donated a beautiful handmade queen-size quilt which is grey with a Block "O" pattern. Mrs. Gigliotti spent a lot of time and care in making this auction item a part of your Buckeye household.
Lighthouse VPS and Dr. Sarah Kreis ('80) have donated two signed and framed prints by local artist Lauren Richards. One print is of a dog and the other is of a cat. They are valued at $150 each. The artist is preparing them and framing them herself especially for the auction, and she will include information about herself and her work along with each print.
Dr. Robert Knapp ('92) has donated two Buckeye golf gift sets which include golf hat, towel, balls, and tees. A Buckeye golf tailgate game has also been donated to keep you entertained on those football Saturday mornings.
Item #41 is a picture by William Wegman, paid for by the College. Our Development Officer, Karen Longbrake was able to get the picture personalized by the artist, he also wrote in the name of the dog, "Betty."
Karen Longbrake donated this second piece; a tee flag from the 2008 Masters. In honor of the 50th anniversary of Arnold Palmer's win at the Masters, this flag will be signed by the great golfer himself and personalized to the winner of the auction item.
Both Dr. Robert Baumann ('73) and Dr. Dennis Lehman ('65) have contributed a great opportunity to see a Buckeye game for this season. Four tickets have been provided (Section 29C Row 13) to witness Ohio State vs. Troy on Saturday September 20. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity. Value: $240.
Dr. Baumann ('73) has also graciously donated a handcrafted, refinished end table. The end table measures 21" x 12" and has a glass top fashioned with a veterinary caduceus.
A donation from Dr. and Mrs. Ron Fuller ('58) is the 15th Annual Walleye Fishing and Golf Seminar Weekend Package to be held in May 2009. This "education with recreation" package includes registration for a hospital's veterinarians and staff for 14 hours of high quality CE covering medicine, surgery and practice management. In addition, one hotel room will be included for three nights, as well as Thursday night snacks and beverages for the hospital team, dinner on Saturday for the doctors and staff and fishing for all on Lake Erie on the head boat. The fishing is excellent: see the attached photo of recent year's catches. Value: more than $1000.
Dr. Emily ('81) and Jeff Walton have donated an autographed football by Mike Nugent. This amazing kicker signed his name and wrote in his Ohio State record breaking feat of 356 points. Value: priceless.
Interim Dean Dr. John Hubbell ('77) and his wife Shellley have contributed an amazing photograph of Ohio Stadium complete with each of Ohio State's Heisman Trophy winners. These Heisman winners are situated around the stadium in football cards. This is a can't-miss piece of Buckeye nostalgia to add to your collection. Dr. Hubbell has also contributed a Buckeye golf headcover and towel set so that no one can mistake your allegiance on the golf course.
Dr. David Kraushar ('91) has brought in several wonderful items from a couple of his clients. Karry Scott has given four packages of equine note card sketches and a t-shirt with an image of cow with the words "Tip - A -Cow, Cow Tipping Club". Local artist Leslie Stratman has given two framed watercolors. The first measures 11"x17" and is titled "4 Yearlings". The second measures 14"x17" and is titled "Quarterhorse". Finally, Amy Kraushar has hand woven a Buckeye basket for you to put on display.
Nutramax Laboratories and Scott Hewson have provided this year's auction with a stunning print of the Ryder Cup. This Ryder Cup Official Edition LeRoy Neiman poster captures the drama as the teams vie on Valhalla's 13th hole. Market Value $70.
Our research program coordinator Michele Morscher has donated a refinished one-half style type tray with wood and lead type spelling OSU/CVM/Go Bucks. This tray has been sanded, stained and waxed, and is ready for your special collection. Market value $60. Next up is a castor bean leaf that has been cast with a mixture of concrete and sand. Nine shades of reds and burgundies were used to create the faux finish. An acrylic sealer was used to finish the look. This leaf was made to hang inside or outside your home. Market value $50.
Back again for this year's auction is the ever popular hand-made walking stick, by Dr. Thomas Connair ('58). The theme of the walking stick is "in and around the sea" and we shall start the bidding at $1000!
Bob and Bruce Peterson and The Columbus Serum Co. are offering four lower field box tickets to a home Reds game which will include a parking pass for your convenience. These are great seats between home and first base, where you can really be a part of the game. The exact date is to be determined by the buyer and donor. Elaine Marsh, clinic manager at Northarlington Animal Clinic has given two great pictures for the auction. The first being a framed photo from Life magazine (as seen above). The second framed photo is done by William Wegman and contains a pair of his Weimaraners equipped in their Buckeye gear.
Mike Bennet, of the Longaberger Company, has once again donated a great basket for the auction. The basket will contain an assortment of berries and will contain a couple bottles of wine donated by the Alumni Society.
The Little Brown Jug Society has donated two passes for September 17th and 18th. Come and enjoy Delaware, Ohio and the spectacular harness racing.
