
The Campus Campaign encourages faculty and staff at The Ohio State University to support programs and causes that are personally significant. Many animal lovers appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the programs in the College of Veterinary Medicine that support animal and public health, as well as student learning. Listed below are several funds in the Veterinary Hospital as well as the Departments of Veterinary Biosciences, Clinical Sciences, and Public Health.
These funds are used to support animals in need of veterinary care that lack financial support.
The College of Veterinary Medicine will be starting a major fundraising campaign to build a new small animal hospital and renovate sections of our existing Veterinary Hospital to better care for our patients and clients.
This fund provides discretionary money to be used for the benefit of staff in the Veterinary Hospital,
The "Honoring the Bond" program provides a full-time social worker who offers counseling during difficult decision making, especially euthanasia options, and a grief hot-line for people who have lost a companion animal. On June 20, 2009 at noon, the program will host the inaugural Companion Animal Remembrance Ceremony.
This fund provides support to pursue strategic and innovative initiatives to advance the clinical, educational, research, scholarship and outreach initiatives
This fund provides support for biomedical research for faculty members who organize and teach clinical veterinary medical courses in the professional curriculum or exceptional medical specialty training for graduate students in the biomedical sciences.
The center's mission is to facilitate interdisciplinary investigations of retrovirus diseases in animals and people. Internationally recognized leaders in the field of retrovirology focus their research programs on: understanding fundamentals of the molecular biology and pathogenesis of retroviruses, prevention of infection or disease, and application to disease treatment.
As a part of one the most comprehensive health sciences centers in the nation, the graduate program in the College of Veterinary Medicine offers outstanding training opportunities for post-doctoral veterinary and pre-doctoral, non-veterinary students whose career goals include medical specialty and/or research education leading to a PhD or MS degree.
This fund supports the department's academic program, teaching the future guardians of our nation's food supply.
This fund supports priority programs and projects in the College of Veterinary Medicine.
