Dear Alumni and Friends,
As a member of The Ohio State University Veterinary Medicine Alumni Society, you are part of a special group that represents one of the largest and most active alumni societies at OSU and throughout the country. More than 1,700 of our 7,000 graduates are members of the Society, the largest number of alumni from any veterinary college in the United States.
Organized in 1979, the Alumni Society was formed to promote fellowship among alumni, students and friends of the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine, and to encourage and support academic and clinical excellence in the College.
Membership in the Alumni Society has significant value for the College: Approximately 75 percent of Alumni Society funds support important College educational, research, service and other projects. Alumni support has also made possible activities such as the Annual Alumni meeting and class reunions, alumni receptions at national veterinary meetings, the annual commencement picnic, and the publication of The Speculum, the college/alumni magazine, as well as the all-important White Coat Ceremony.
We're proud to have such a dedicated group of individuals in the Veterinary Medicine Alumni Society. We look forward to your continued support, and encourage you to check our calendar of events and join us if you are not yet a member.
Sincerely,
Michelle Harcha, DVM ('85)
