Accreditation Report

This year our College is undergoing accreditation review. The accreditation process is federally mandated and conducted by the Council on Education of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Colleges of Veterinary Medicine are reviewed every 7 years. The Council looks carefully at quality indicators of the training of our professional students. Successful completion of the accreditation process is crucial to the continued success and future direction of our College.

We must develop a 100-page (50 pages of narrative and 50 pages of appendices) self-study report for the Council that includes an overview of the college as well as information about 11 standards: organization, finances, physical facilities and equipment, clinical resources, library and information resources, students, admission, faculty, curriculum, research programs, and outcomes assessment. As the self-study report is developed, drafts of the standards including narratives and appendices will be posted on the College's website for review by faculty and staff. Please recognize that the material posted is in draft form and will be evolving over the year. We welcome input on the drafts that are posted including corrections, suggestions, and constructive criticism. Please send any comments to Dr. Stephen P. DiBartola at dibartola.1@osu.edu. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
