The Office of Career Management at the College of Veterinary Medicine is committed to assisting veterinary medicine students, alumni, and employers in all areas of career management and development, including
- Resume, cover letter, and other employment documents review
- Assisting employers in writing effective job postings
- Access to the online Career Center & Job Posting Board
- Developing effective strategies for students in pursuing their future career goals
We accomplish this through personal career advising, professional development lectures, career events, employer outreach, and professional networking opportunities.
Amanda Fark is the Director of Career Management & Professional Development and joined the college in November 2012 to lead and create the Office of Career Management. Ohio State was the first College of Veterinary Medicine to implement an office to serve the needs of veterinary students, alumni, and employers. Amanda leads the Career Management team, provides one-on-one career counseling for both students and alumni, develops resources, meets with employers and alumni, and hosts career workshops and presentations. Kelsey Kerstetter joined the team in July 2013 and is the career advisor for the first year veterinary students, manager of the online job posting board and employer relations, event coordinator, and manages marketing and online resources.
