Last week, the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences and the Veterinary Medical Center held the annual Resident and Intern Certificate Presentation and Reception at the historic Station 67 in Columbus. This annual event, attended by over 180 people, celebrated the success and achievements of our residents and interns and marks the culmination of one phase of their careers.

Veterinary student and family survive fire

Vet community is asked for support

On Thursday, June 17, Shawna Abrams, a 4th year veterinary student, lost her home and everything in it to a fire. Fortunately, she, her husband, and their 6-month-old baby, David, are safe. However, they have no clothes, baby clothes, crib, etc. Dr. Jennifer Brandt, assistant director in the office of student affairs, is talking with Shawna to develop a list of additional needed items, and for now the most urgent need is for the following:
