The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine is pleased to welcome 162 first-year veterinary students selected from 1,417 applicants.
Students in the Class of 2018 come from 25 states, hold an average overall grade point of 3.7, an average of 1,347 hours of veterinary experience and an average of 6,950 hours of experience with animals. The college is proud to welcome these individuals to one of the top five veterinary schools in the nation.
In addition to their hours of experience with animals, students in the Class of 2018 are also volunteers, participating in sports, the arts, research and a number of other hobbies, ranging from fire hula-hooping to swing dancing to pottery throwing. To become a member of the Class or 2018, students participated in a thorough application process that included a detailed interview.
