Gulf Coast Veterinary Surgery, Orthopedics & Neurology


Student will interact with surgeons and surgery interns performing subjective, objective, assessment and plans on all hospitalized patients in the morning and evening. Student will assist surgeons with clinics, observe all types of surgery, assist with some surgeries and attend rounds with surgery interns.


Associate Veterinarians and special expertise available

  • 5 boarded veterinary surgeons (ACVs)
  • 2 board certified veterinary neurologists (ACVIM)
  • 3 veterinary surgery interns
  • 1 veterinary neurology intern

Students are expected to actively participate in SOAPS, appointments, anesthesia and surgery.

Student Supervision

10-12 hours per day, 5 days per week
