Student
must come on time and be willing to tolerate long days in surgery
suite. We expect a respectful and mature attitude toward staff and
animals at our Humane Society. We prefer fourth year students as they
seem to get more benefit out of our hands-on approach and come to us
already having learned some basic surgical skills.
40-50
hours a week. Student will always accompany a staff veterinarian in
surgery or in rounds. Our surgical suite is set up for high capacity,
so student can do surgeries on shelter anaimls while HSSA vet works at
other surgery tables and is available to assist as needed.
