Alumni Society Donates 150 Masks to Columbus Community

To commemorate Ohio State's Sesquicentennial, the Veterinary Medicine Alumni Society, the Cheer and Brutus Alumni Society, and the Men's Glee Club Alumni Society each each ordered 150 masks from a local small business to be donated to COTA (Central Ohio Transit Authority) for use by people who rely on public transportation. The masks were ordered from Mask Essential, owned by former OSU football player Chris Fields and coordinated by COTA community relations director Mallory Donaldson, former OSU cheerleader.

In addition to donating the masks, the group asked Dr. David E. Cohn from the Ohio State James Comprehensive Cancer Center to present a webinar on June 16 about the importance of wearing masks in public during the COVID-19 outbreak and how they minimize the spread of the virus.
